What people say

You and your improv methods have an amazing ability to pull diverse groups and people together while allowing them to have fun and think outside of themselves.

Mark Baker - Industrial Psychologist

The practical exercises and the interaction created between group members during the sessions made it an interesting team building experience. I would recommend it to any team/organisation that needs to uplift their team culture.

Heinrich Minnaar British American Tobacco HR teame

The presentation was dynamic, practical and interactive. Burgert and Francois applied the technique of roleplay brilliantly and managed to make congress attendees think about their daily walk and talk. Their performance is energetic and definitely reacher their audience. They move horisons!

Team Innovation Workshop

Whose idea is it anyway?

"The most important thing going forward is to break the boundaries between people, so we can operate as a single intelligence." David Bohm

Research in various fields has shown the importance of collaboration and team work to generate innovative solutions. However, working in teams often leads to diminished creativity. One reason for this is the lack of an innovative team climate. Fortunately, this can be developed through practice and awareness.

True to the nature of collaborative creativity this workshop draws from the diverse perspectives of Improvisational Theatre, Organisational Psychology and Neuroscience to create a very unique and highly interactive experience. The workshop is built around six collaborative creativity practices that have been proven to enhance a team's climate for innovation.

These practices are:

  • Listening and awareness
  • Taking risk and accepting failure
  • Giving and taking control
  • Being adaptable and open to diverse ideas
  • Appreciating contribution
  • Accepting and Building on ideas
  • Having a shared focus

This workshop is for:

  • Managers and team leaders who want to learn practical ways to develop their team's ability to collaborate and innovate.
  • Facilitators, coaches and OD practitioners interested in learning new interactive methods for team development.

Unusual yet effective process that will certainly take people out of their comfort zones but this is what creates the real learning. You cant learn about behaviors, you have to experience it to understand it. One of the few sessions I have been on where without a specific brief, the facilitator brought the learning back to our values. - John Stenslunde, SAB General Manager

I found it a very encouraging and motivating workshop that really helps you to get in touch with the natural creative side of who you are. It reminds you of being a child again but a liberated person as an adult. And together with this we believe the dynamics will improve within the team as we go forward in the company. I think it was a great workshop.- Julian Pillay, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostic Marketing Team
