Improvisation in Business Taster

Discover why improvisation is being taught by companies such as Google, Twitter, Pixar and more than half of the top business schools in the world.

What is improvisation and how can it help my business/organisation?

Improvisation is the art of creating scenes in the moment without any rehearsal or preparation. It is also the ability to deal with the unexpected with confidence and commitment. We all possess this natural ability and do it every day without realising it. We will help you identify this and how you can implement these simple and powerful techniques in your work environment. We will also explain the neuroscience behind the effectiveness of these techniques.

In this session you will learn how the skills and values required to perform improv are similar to those needed for a high performing and successful business, and how the practice of improvisation can help you develop these skills and values.

The skills and values are:

  • Communication
  • trust, innovation
  • confidence
  • adaptability
  • presence
  • collaboration

The session will be very interactive and you will take part in a set of example exercises. This will help you experience their effectiveness.  We will also discuss how and where certain techniques can be used to take your business to the next level of performance.
